Zirconia Restoration

As a material, Zirconia is the strongest of all-ceramic teeth restoration materials available today. In fact, Zirconia has replaced metal as the material of choice in hip replacement surgeries. It has strength similar to metal bonded restorations but far superior in esthetics.

It is the new material of choice for dental restorative procedures such as dental crowns and dental bridges. Zirconia can be used for both anterior and posterior crowns and bridges.

Pioneer in ceramic gums technology

Dr. Thanos Kristallis is a pioneer in developing ceramic gums that attach to teeth or implants. This groundbreaking innovation of Dr. Kristallis was possible thanks to Zirconia, the strong ceramic that looks much more lifelike than dentures made of plastic or metal.

In-house dental lab

Our in house lab has various digital scanners that are used in conjunction with CAD-CAM technologies to manufacture the Zirconia substructure for the crowns and bridges. The addition of the overlaying ceramics is done in house and the final modifications and staining can be done chair-side to create a natural looking, customized all zirconia crown.

If you like to explore the options for Zirconia Restoration, your dentists at Dr. Thanos Kristallis & Associates at Washington Metro Center Dental will be happy to discuss with you to help you determine the options available to you.
